Special thanks to Kate for writing to me about the donation of her daughter's cord blood that she made to a public cord blood bank in Florida (Cryobank) after doing research to find somewhere that would take cord blood.  http://www.cryo-intl.com/cordblooddonation.html

Back to Jack

[Unfair] Comparisons

It is impossible, I think, to see another baby around Jack's age and not measure up that little baby in comparison to Jack.  For example, at our Wednesday play group, Jack is one of five: George, Caitlin, Abby and Abigail are the other four.  Jack is the biggest.  But there the dominance ends: George has been walking like a champ for awhile now and can throw a ball up in the air and catch it.  Abby is a great eater and says "Hi."  Abigail must have 20 words.  Caitlin is also a champion walker and has several words and can sign.

Jack can't do any of that.  His walking is getting much better, though.  He walks cautiously, with his arms bent at the elbows so that the palms of his hands are facing out (all the better to catch himself, I guess.)  So, maybe he won't get into Harvard; at least he'll be able to walk!
