It was a long, hard, hot weekend.  I'm tired and not thinking very clearly.  I think that Jack is getting his molars.  I can't believe that on Friday it will be 1 July and that next weekend is the celebration for the 4th.  Thinking about an all-American holiday makes me remember that Rama will be going for her second interview with the INS on July 26th; she will be a wonderful American and I so hope that she becomes a citizen.  I want to write about Anita's (http://blogs.salon.com/0002504/) timely and helpful commentary on the whole thimersol/mercury/autism thing in light of RFK Jr's articles on Salon and in the Rolling Stone.  And I want to write about a horrible article that was forwarded to me that was printed in New York Magazine (Empire of the Alpha Mom
>Does the world need a Martha Stewart of parenting?
>Isabel Kallman would like to submit her résumé.
about an uber-yuppie mom and her approach to motherhood (hint: she's calling her new media business AlphaMom and she has hired people and delegated her dad to take care of her child while she does this.)  I am going to have to do it later, though, because I am tired and I haven't seen Kev in 3 days, really, and the Red Sox are on (and they're losing, so they need me) and I think that there may be some wine in the fridge...

Cheers.
