Saturday Five
In order to remain competitive in the brutal world of amateur blogging, I tried changing the blog's template to one a little more hip and "cool." That resulted in some kind of macro error that prevented me from updating anything; the blogroll was also mutated. Anyway, after a couple of hours, I kinda got things back to the way they were -- but now I am in no mood for anything too complicated. So, let's play some games from the FOX Fan Fun page.
Here's one that sounds fun: Guess the iPod Playlist
Programming your iPod can be a very personal experience. We asked several FNC staff members to reveal their playlist faves. See if you can match your favorite on-air personalities with their favorite songs.
Here's the first playlist:
Barry White: You're The First, The Last, My Everything Marvin Gaye: Got to Give it Up Eagles: One of These Nights Def Leppard: Photograph U2: Where the Streets Have No Name
Now, which of your favorite on-air personalities does it belong to:
A) Martha MacCallum B) Janice Dean C) Rick Folbaum D) Jamie Colby
If you're like me, you don't know who any of these people are, so you don't much care what the correct answer is (it's Janice Dean, btw).
In fact, I've only heard of 4 or so of the next 24 of my "favorite on-air personalities." So, to make things more interesting, I'm going to make up playlists for some of the more well-known Fox News personalities and guests. So, try to guess the individual whom you think the playlist goes with.

"Opportunities" by Pet Shop Boys (With personalized lyrics as follow):
I've had enough of decency, I'm really quite a jerk I want to make big money, but I don't want to have to work. I'm looking for a partner, someone to be my liberal bitch Ask yourself this question: Do you want to be rich?
I've got the looks, you've got the brains Let's make lots of money. You've got the smarts, I've got a big mouth Let's make lots of money.
You can tell I'm on the payroll of the Bush administration So hosting a Fox News program seems like the perfect occupation. I can spout the party talking points, choose the perfect time If you've got the inclination, I have got the crime.
You've got the brains, I'm into rough trade Let's make lots of money. We're fair and balanced, that'll be our charade Let's make lots of money.
You can be my liberal counterpart, I'll be the bully boy But don't forget that I'm the star and you're just my leftie chew toy. I'm looking for a partner, someone to help with this pretense Think about it seriously, you know, it makes sense.
I've got the looks/ You've got the brains/ Let's make lots of money.
Anyway, can you guess the Fox News personalities from their playlists?
Hey, I know this is kinda lame, so let's see you do better. Come up with your own playlists for these on-air Fox News "favorites" (or anybody else whom you think deserves a song or two):
Mort Kondrake Brit Hume Oliver North Generic Fox Bimbo Neil Kavuto Greta Van Whatever Geraldo Rivera Chris Wallace Shepard Smith
Thanks for playing -- I'm sure Fox News appreciates your support.
