Inspired to Sit
I happened on this book last week and just finished reading it. (It's written by a guy from National Geographic who travels around the world to learn about the spread of Buddhism.)
He mentions Mirabai Bush, the women who introduced me to Mindfullness Meditation (vipassana) about 10 years ago. She is the founder of the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society and one of the most intriguing, inspiring, calming...and all kinds of other good things...people I've ever met.
I've thought of her often, but never expected to "run into" her again, not even in print. But there she was. Or, at least, there was her name.
It was like a mindfullness bell going off in my brain.
A call to wake up.
And to start sitting again.
