A picture named IChing.JPG

"Holding on to Change..."

Along with the Buddha book, I also picked up a set of I Ching cards. This morning I tossed my lucky Euro coin (I know this is mixing cultures, but that's just how I am) and found that my hexagram for today is water over fire, which according to Chao-Hsiu Chen means Accomplishment.

My guidance for today:
"Maintain what you have achieved. This is even harder than starting something new."

Further explanation:
"The female power of water combines with the male power of fire." (Sounds steamy to me.) "When this comes into full effect, they can either achieve great success or damage each other, leading to disaster. There is danger hidden within good fortune, and turmoil within peace.

Advice:
"Being vigilant during times of peace is the best way to avoid danger. Always remember that the beginning follows the end, and the end follows the beginning."

Hmmmmm.
