A picture named emptyplate.JPG

No word from the Veggie Man

There was no note this time from Biver Farms in response to my second complaint about soft squash and past-their-prime beets.

And no replacement potatoes, either--the ones that were promised to me after my first complaint.

We did get some beautiful ruby-red turnips, howerver. And some nice little golden grape-size tomaotes. Plus a big bag of arugala, a little bunch of sage and thyme, one acorn squash, two white onions and a couple of the sorriest cloves of garlic I've ever seen in my whole life. (They were brown and cracked and I threw them out.)

Oh, yes. And ANOTHER huge bag of sunchokes.

The cost of a CSA subscription averages out to about $16 a week. No way have I gotten my money's worth.
