A picture named Xiamen school.JPG

Another picture of the school

Unbelievable: I can fly from St. Louis to Xiamen for $1,042.80. ($760 for the fare and $282.80 for taxes and fees!) It's American Airlines from St. Louis to Chicago, then Chicago to Shanghai, then China Eastern Airlines from Shanghai to Xiamen.

Only a thousand dollars to fly to China! (I've spend almost $400 flying to Chapel Hill.)

My friend Carolyn says she has a two-bedroom apartment, so once I got there, I could stay with her. And I'm assuming that food and everything will be incredibley cheap.

OK, well I'm not quite ready to pull up stakes and start looking for a job, but I am going to go over and at least check it out.

Stay tuned.
