the grateful dead meets burning man meets the nazi war machine

A picture named mark michaels almost done.jpgToday was a pretty good day.

I did nothing that remotely felt like work.  (My only work tasks were to drive Bob Bandit to a customers door and then pick up a check).

During the time that my workers were sweating and breaking their backs in the sun and I went and had sex with a hot girl in Ybor city.  She bought me a delcious Jamaican llunch, and some $12 fruit juice, for which she refused payment.  After we ate, we jumped in her bed and had a quickie.

I was done with my work that wasn't work by 2pm, and I made almost $400 (cash).

The tree business isn't really that bad.  (Bob Bandit works much less, makes a lot more, and engages in much more outlandish debauchery.  But he'll have to tell you about that in his own blog).

When I wasn't at the hot girl's apartment, I was driving around in my truck, blasting drum and bass music, and day dreaming about taking over the world.

You see, at some point today, I decided I don't just want to be rich and famous.  Instead, I'm just going for total global domination.

In my driving day-dreams, I saw myself at the helm of this massive convoy of gleaming motorcylces and Hummers, and tour buses and RVs.  They would be rolling down the highway, out west, between mountains, under an immense blue sky.  The convoy would be organized in columns and rows, military style, with motocycles on the front lines, then the SUVs, then the RVs, tour buses etc.   The groups of vehicles would be in distinct blocks of color.  All the vehicles would be blaring the same music--the same drum and base music that I was daydreaming to.

At the very back of the convoy would be the hugest, most incredible luxury vehicle of all time.  It would be a command center on wheels, as big as a mansion, with bedrooms, and meeting rooms and a restaurant and even a dance floor--playing the same drum and bass music that I was daydreaming to.

Of course, I would be in the command vehicle, directing the convoy down the highway.  I wouldn't be driving it--there would be a professional chaffeur for that.  Instead, I would be plotting and scheming these large scale creative attacks on cities.  I would have a team of writers and artists and carpenters and with them I would plan and wage a war of pure spontaneous fun.

At my command, the armada might suddenly take a turn in the desert and head towards Denver.  On the outskirts of the city, the vehicles would break formation and create a camp.   The camp would rapidly turn into a huge outdoor rave, with various stages and DJs...playing the drum and base music that I was daydreaming to.  People would pour into the party from all around, until it was just an ocean of people having fun.

Or instead of stopping in Denver, the armada might go East to D.C.  At my command a thousand strippers would converge at the Washington Monument.........

Well, anyway, this kind of daydreaming went on for quite a while.  In fact the daydreams were so powerful that it took me over and hour just to achieve the real world objective of buying a ball point pen.  I kept getting lost, and forgetting what I was doing.

Anyway, after I got off of work early, I went over to the Vitale Warehouse and continued painting the Orlando project.  As  you can see, the portrait part of the design is nearly done.

Tomorrow, there's an art show at Jannus Landing downtown.  I'm going to reassemble the painting there and try to hustle up some money to finish the project.  Maybe I'll sell posters, or photo prints of the design.

If I raise enough money, maybe I can buy the first motorcycle for the Armada.  I think a Harley would be good.
