the challenge of the day
The challenge of the day will be "drawing up" the second (and larger half) of the Orlando billboard. Like most projects that I undertake, it requires two or three people to do it right--people which don't know that I've "volunteered" them for the project until the last possible minute. In this case, six sheets of (4x8) plywood have to be seamed together to make a 16'x12' rectangle. It's on this rectangle that the text side of my billboard will be printed and painted.
I've pondered trying to seam the plywood up against my house for convenience sake. But unfortunately, my house doesn't really have a flat front or level ground in front of it. (Its broken up by a porch, porch steps, sidewalk, etc. The back side of my house might work if there wasn't a garage aparment so close to it, preventing the projector from setting where it needs to project the text to full size. (Also, I can only imagine what my already dubious neighbors would think of my "mad-scientist" type efforts. Now what's he doing? I can hear them muttering as they peek through the blinds.
But I'll show them! I'll show them I'm not mad! They laughed at me back at the Academy too! Well, we'll just see who has the last laugh! WE'LL JUST SEE!!! AH-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!
Oh, excuse me.
So while my daughter is out with her grandma at the "fish festival" I will lug all of my materials over to the Vitale warehouse, and attempt to assemble my billboard there. (Maybe over the course of the day I'll think of something more interesting to write about than plywood).
