the force is a metaphor for why things are stupid

A picture named mark michaels jedi master.jpgI actually tried to summon up the powers of the Force when I was a kid.  In my bedroom I would concentrate on some small object like a shoe and try to move it with my mind.  I would put my hand near it and spread my fingers towards the object to try to increase my power.

But invariably, the shoe wouldn't move.  Not even a milimeter.

Then I figured, maybe I was trying to start too big.  So I took the shoe and tied it to a string, and tied the string to a shelf so it was suspended in the air.  I figured if I could conjure up even just a little bit of the Force I could make the shoe twirl in the direction I desired, and then build up my Force powers from there.

But again, even with my mind concentrating as hard as it could (which is sort of like trying to go to the bathroom) and my  hand extended in dramatic jedi fashion, I couldn't make the shoe twirl or move in the direction that I wanted.

It was through experiences this this one, and many others during childhood, that I realized that neat and amazing things don't really happen in life.  They only happen in the movies.

Then as I got older, I realized that even the neat and amazing things in movies weren't very neat and amazing.  Its all just a bunch of digital animation shit.

Today I rarely go to the movies at all because most of them seem boring or stupid.  But at the same time, I think it would be the end all be all to star in movies.  I guess I just want to have proactive role in things that are boring in stupid.
