I've not finished the book yet (too busy grading mid-term essays), but I think it's a fair wager to say that Jonathan Lethem's The Fortress of Solitude will be a classic read for years to come in English courses across the country. And I bet, too, that his little corner of Brooklyn, Boerum Hill, will be visited by literary pilgrims. I'm tempted to make my way to his neighborhood myself. The book is that good. 9:43:31 PM | |
