ISRAEL:
They have been meeting terrorist attacks with bombs and missiles for going on 40 years now. When are we going to realize you can not defeat terrorism with bombs, tanks, and guns? We have tried an eye for an eye, and we only end up escalating the violence. I know that 9-11 has pissed us all off, but do we feel better about ourselves now that we have bombed the shit out of Iraq and Afganistan? Are we now free of terror? Does killing people really solve the problem? No, it does not. How about educating people, helping them find work, ensuring they get clean water and a good environment to raise their children. If only we could reach out to people, ironically as Jesus would have done. I say ironically, because the eye for an eye people appear to all be religeous types.
It is like our inner-city neighborhoods. We all talk about getting tough on crime, that's it throw everyone in jail! Has that lowered the crime rate? Why do we never talk about getting tough on education, getting tough on Health Care, getting tough on protectin our environment. Probably because that would involve really being tough, not just some macho bravado talk. You can earn the "real man" image simply by wanting to show no compassion. This is the easy way out, but it is by no means manly. In fact, it is the opposite! A real man would shake his fear of the inner city/gaza strip, walk down there, get to know his fellow man, and beginning working for a better future--now that would take guts!

GEORGE W. BUSH: Bully and Coward in chief.
I know that this blog is generally not that political, but I have to get this out. Did anyone else notice that GWB ran and hid on 9-11 like a scared little boy. In fact, in the press video of him running into his bunker, I bet you can see something in his pants. Later, when he was selling posters, he even admitted that he was focussed on getting out of harm's way--that MF! I hear republicans say things like, "Thank God it was President Bush in office when 9-11 happened." I have to ask why? What has he done that is sooo impressive? He did the easy thing, bomb a few poor "evil" people, who were incapable of fighting back. This is the equivalent of getting pissed off and kicking the dog, it is a bully tactic and it is cowardice. Having served in the military for nearly 15 years, I have learned that a good strong leader, disregarding his/her insignificant life, heads to the scene of the action where his/her people are in need. Did our "strong" president do that? No, he was concerned only for his own ass, oh and of course the Bin Ladens who he made sure where allowed to fly! Then, he has the f***ing nerve to don a uniform and parade around in it! I am beside myself with anger. Who is going to stand up to this piece of shit coward? No one seems to have the guts to, not liberals in this country, not Europe, who? If only Al Gore was half a man! Had only, instead of conceding so shamefully, he made a speech akin to Marc Anthony in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. If only there was someone out there with the guts to stand up for our ideals. I am becoming more afraid every day that our country is resembling Germany in the 1930's more and more. When are people going to wake up, after we start building the Muslim concentration camps? That is all I have to say, I am getting sick to my stomach.
