Sorry for the long absence. I'm finally done with my semester. What an ending! I'm going to write a long rant about the exit exam plague that's prevalent down here. Two of my students challenged the results successfully, which was a VERY pleasant surprise.

But this is not the subject of my post.

Do I have to tell you that this sticker was on the back of one of those huge honkin' SUVs (a Ford Expedition, in fact), or that it was parked half on the street and half on the sidewalk (after all, the driver IS the center of the universe)?

It goes without saying that all of us liberals are supporters of a religious fundamentalist, CONSERVATIVE criminal organization. Right? I mean, their agenda built on anger and fear, their oppression of women, and their belief that religion should be central to political life is really in-line with liberal, Democratic ideals. I mean, conservatives in this country CERTAINLY feel differently than that! They don't oppress women's rights, they strongly believe in the separation of church and state, and they don't use fear or anger to guide their politics at all.

No wonder they made the connection between Kerry and al Qaeda. It's so clear.

This fu**ing sticker made me so pis*ed off I ranted in the car all the way home. S got sick of hearing me and reminded me that he agrees with me. Of course! Anyway, perhaps it's time for Bush-as-Hitler stickers. S has it designed already: Bush with a Hitler mustache, a swastika on his shoulder and his words, 'You're either with us or against us.' What do you think?

I just hope this is an "only in Louisiana" bumper sticker. Please oh please!! I can't bear the thought of half of our electorate agreeing with this moron.
