A Litany of Bad News

Please, I beg of you, tell me where the good news is in this:

BAGHDAD, Iraq, April 20 - Three car bombs exploded today in Baghdad, as a weeklong surge of violence continued in the capital.

On Tuesday, two suicide bombers detonated their vehicles in separate attacks in Baghdad, killing four Iraqis and two American soldiers.

Also in Baghdad on Tuesday, a professor at Baghdad University was shot dead as he drove to work, Interior Ministry officials said. Fouad Ibrahim Muhammad al Bayati, chairman of the German department, was killed near his home in the western Ghazaliya neighborhood.

The piece is a litany of bad news.

At least it's in the New York Times. We'll see how long it takes for this story to come out, a lone dispatch from our other war.
