What a difference a rank makes

Yesterday on Altercation, Major Bob posted a letter about the tradition and glories of the salute and how much mutual respect commissioned officers and NCOs have for each other. Someone sent Major Bob's letter to some guy in Afghanistan and he wrote a response. I have no idea who this "Sergeant Joe" is, but he's a damn fine writer!
