And unless you didn't hear, another 33 soldiers have died this month in our newly forgotten war (immigration reform, anyone?), along with literally countless Iraqis. Another retired general called for Rumsfeld's resignation (how about military tribunal?) only to have the call fall on deaf ears. It's got to end. I hate these bastards. S turned in his military gear today and said goodbye forever to the National Guard. (Hallelujah!) He said the guys in charge were super helpful and seemed to say, "You've escaped! Get out of here while you can!" Trapped in "uniform welfare," they're stuck, just like so many in army-ready Mississippi. But not S and his friends. They're OUT. And that's all I've got to say about that.
