No babes please, we're British
Last weekend Kirsty Young hosted Have I got news for you. I'm still not over it. Since Angus Deayton disappeared in a haze of sex and drugs (sorry about the disappointing link :-)), they've had a new guest presenter every week. Some, like Anne Robinson, Bruce Forsythe or Charlotte Church were very memorable. The difference is, Kirsty Young looked like she belonged there. She fits the format perfectly. As Paul Merton said; "Finally a guest presenter with a sense of humour!" Now when I wanted to find some info on her, what I found was very dry. You see, here in Holland we've got a website called tvbabes. Because we men like babes. If you're a woman, you're on tv and some men could possibly like you - you're a tv babe. I think the American equivalent would be askmen.com. But the British don't have something like that. They have FHM and similar lad mags, but nothing for the man who loves a bit more branier babes. Don't the Brits have any tvbabes? Maybe they need some more good examples. So, if no one else has done so already, I would like to nominate Kirsty Young as the new presenter for Have I got news for you.
