This is why Americans need to get rid of George Bush:

"The bottom has indeed fallen out of support for the United States," Mr. Djerejian, speaking after Ms. Tutwiler, told the subcommittee in his first public presentation of the report.

Forget about the fact that he has destroyed the American economy. Forget about his divisive politics domestically. Forget about the lies and corruption.

America needs to get rid of Bush to restore some of the goodwill it has lost with current and former allies. As someone who lives outside the United States, I can safely say (and anyone with Internet access can, too) that the world will breathe a sigh of relief if George Bush is ousted. Trade relations will improve. It will be a win-win situation for America and the world.

I can only hope Americans can see this, even though the corporate media within America don't want them to. America, you have to understand, moderates in countries everywhere will embrace anyone who replaces Bush. Right now, the moderates everywhere hate Bush. The American corporate media don't allow average Americans (the ones who maybe don't spend hours online everyday sorting through the news) to see what the average viewer of, say, the BBC sees. And the BBC isn't even close to being an anti-American news source; but it is close to being a more representative news source of American events than American news networks themselves.

Not every foreigner who hates Bush hates America. The foreigners who simply hate Bush but otherwise like America are the ones this next election has to win back, in order to begin repairing the damage Bush has done to America's image abroad.

I'm not saying America is innocent of crimes against foreign countries. I'm saying the removal of Bush would at least allow moderates outside the US to put aside their blind hatred of the man and his administration (and it is well deserved) long enough to assess "America" on terms other than its most extreme elements.
