What else?

Whenever I’m stuck and staring at a blank computer screen

Oppressed by the weight of everything that’s already been said

By me, by you, by Shakespeare, by Homer, by Anonymous

I remind myself that under a glacier in the mountains of Austria

Rest the bones of a man who lived before anything was said

Yet I’ll bet even he sat facing a bare cave wall and wondered

What else? What more can I draw about the big mammoth hunt?

If there is nothing new under the sun…then try the moon

One thing is for certain: there is nothing new under the ice sheet
