I have spent the last few days trying different measures to vanquish a really irritating typo in my sidebar links (OK, readers, this is your proofreading test: try to find it).

Also, the last entry I made has been deleted, re-worked, and enshrined as its own essay, "On Pleasing." I like how it came out. It finally says everything I really wanted it to, and I encourage everyone to read it. I hope it should be showing up the sidebar links soon.

Enjoying my holiday weekend so far. The Long Emergency, by James H. Kunstler, about the oil shortage is a really good book and I will be writing about it more before too long.
