It's called The Politics of Denial, published in 1996 by a couple of academics named Michael A. Milburn and Sheree D. Conrad. The book discusses studies that document the link between punitive childrearing practices and the appeal of authoritarian ideologies in adulthood.

Since the book came out of the MIT Press, I'd expect the studies described to be reputable ones.
