I have added my weekly essay to my sidebar links--we'll see if Radio decides to publish it. If it doesn't appear this evening sometime, I reckon I may read the thing tomorrow, and decide I don't like it, anyway.

I've started linking to essays as old blog entries, rather than as Radio "stories," as I'd been doing. There are two advantages to this approach: my essays appear in bigger type, and readers can leave their comments after them.

In deciding what to write the essay about, I cull through the week's entries and look for material that grabs me and I feel I can work with further. Then I delete that day's entry, and replace it with my crafted piece of writing.

On an unrelated note: I've been thinking about how to help my bathroom, my own "problem child." It has pinkish-beige tiles on the walls, dark vinyl tiles on the floor, an idiotic wall-mount soap dispenser, a stained tub, and almost no natural light. It's so ugly I hate to have people see it.

I rent; it's not like I can tear the room up. Improvements must be both superficial and economical.

This is another case where I wish I were comfortable with the digital camera, already, and could publish photos.

I'll get there.
