I'm back from a happily extended break from work and computers. Having spent lots of time basking in the sun, swimming, kayaking and recovering from a cold its time to get blogging again.
Sadly I missed yesterday's blog day but my belated contribution follows.
Peking Duck - Beautiful looking blog. Self described by the author Richard TPD as " A peculiar hybrid of personal journal, dilettantish punditry, pseudo-philosophy and much more, from an Accidental Expat who has made his way from Hong Kong to Beijing to Singapore, and finally back home to America for reasons that are still not entirely clear to him... " It seems to be an excellent soure of observations on Asia and China in particular. There are some great resources here for anyone wanting to do a bit of China watching .
Peak Oil Optimist - Rob McMillin's interesting blog subtitled "Knowing we're running out of oil.Believing we can kick the habit." Rob's blog is pretty focussed on energy issues. With occasional witty asides.
observatory In the spirit of blog day this is a blog that is outside my usual culture. " The Observer is watching you! " The author posts mostly in German but don't be put off after all Google language tools are only a click away. I prefer to stumble my way through with my poor German and then enjoy the frisson of a better understanding using an automated translation.
Web Pages That Suck Vincent Flander's often scathing take on the state of web design. Plenty of tips on how not to design a web site.
Apophenia - Found my way back here. danah boyd's excellent blog was one of the first blogs that I used to read and got me interested in the whole blogging process. In fact I'm asking myself how I came to forgot to add this blog to my blogroll? This is a blog with excellent coverage on social software issues.
Happy belated Blog Day.
