First, a couple things I tend to believe about current culture:
- The rhetoric about international trafficking in humans in one of the few truly laudable things this administration has done.
- The flap over "Boobgate" is pretty much just tedious election year political grandstanding.
- There is tons of offensive crap on TV, including reality shows such as "The Bachelor" (which demeans marriage).
- I tend to think that decriminalizing prostitution is wise policy.
- Pedophilia is one of the worst crimes imaginable, and should be addressed by a justice system that assumes pedophiles cannot be rehablitated.
That said, why is CNN running a long feature on child prostitution in Eastern Europe at FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON????

In the category of of Sunday morning snorts & chortles, I just stumbled on this Christopher Hitchens WSJ article from last Wednesday. The topic is Howard Dean, and the title is (short drum roll):
Narcissist And Windbag
I kid you not.

Just added a link to the Columbia Journalism's Review's "The Campaign Desk". A good daily overview of the performance of your media. Check it out.
