Here's the last graf from today's Baghdad Burning:

These last few days have brought back memories of the same dates, last year. What were we doing in early March? We were preparing for the war… digging wells, taping up windows, stocking up on candles, matches, kerosene, rice, flour, bandages, and medicine… and what are we doing now? Using them.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A top Iraqi lawyer coordinating preparations for Saddam Hussein 's trial accused the U.S. military on Friday of hampering efforts to gather evidence by releasing detainees linked to the toppled dictator.

The U.S. military just releases detainees without consulting with us. They are releasing people with valuable information on Saddam. They are undermining the process of putting him on trial," Salem Chalabi told Reuters.

"Why should we bother?"

Why would the US be releasing detainees with valuable info on Saddam?  Sounds like they're the ones who were close to him, and should be kept detained????  Do they not know who's who over there?

Let's see here... the Republican Party writes a massive tax cut bill.  This Republican Party bill puts in expiration dates on the tax cuts.  The Republican Party then passes the bill in the Republican Party controlled House, and in the Republican Party Senate, and sends it to the President, the numero uno member of the Republican Party.  This Republican president signs the tax-cuts-with-expiration-dates legislation into law, and makes it the centerpiece of the Republican Party's economic plan.

And if the law's expiration comes to pass, as endorsed, planned, legislated and enacted by the Republican Party, it shall be a Democratic tax hike.

Makes sense....
