Yet another week of domestic monotony. Yipee!!!
One more Sunday hence, and I'll be gearing up for another semester at Tulare Western. But I still have seven days of mindless wandering about the house, and I plan to soak up every minute.
A fun romp of a read, Confessions of a Shopaholic won't unlock the mysteries of the universe. But the novel will make anyone feel better about seasonal overspending. At least you didn't buy as much crap as the main character, Rebecca Bloomwood. I was mostly pissed at her stupidity for half the book, but then the story turns into a tale of how a press release-pilfering drone becomes a passionate journalist. Loved it.
I just started Under the Banner of Heaven, a sharp swerve from my usual holiday reading. So far, no prada bags like Confessions, but nonetheless interesting.
"Bend it Like Beckham" is a fun Saturday night, Chinese take-out movie. Alas, my pile of movies was due back at Blockbuster yesterday by noon. In all my life, I've never, ever returned a movie on time. Absent-minded? Narcissistic? Passive-aggressive?
I spent yesterday updating my Creative Memories Christmas album and our family website. All the news that fits: www.vmleoni.com.
