TODAY'S QUOTATIONS*

I am busy doing homework so that I can finally call myself a Master of Liberal Studies.  While this blog usually provides me a great reason to procrastinate, today's entry will be short and simple: the best and worst quotations I have read while doing my oh-so-necessary reading and writing.

THE WORST:

"[For the liberal,] political decisions must be, so far as is possible, independent of any particular conception of the good life, or of what gives value to life." -- Dworkin

THE BEST:

"Every meal should be a treat and one ought to bless every day which brings with it a good digestion and the precious gift of hunger." --Dame Iris Murdoch

*This entry is dedicated to Vincent who, while a Dworkin lover, also takes the time to enjoy a fine meal.
