*This week's words are dedicated to our heterosexual brothers and sisters.  A teacher once told me that heterosexuality was an acceptable alternative lifestyle.

QUEER VOCABULARY 6.O, The New and Improved Version

Queertopia -- n. A queer utopia.**

Slow-'mo -- n. A homo that takes forever to cum despite his partner's best efforts.  See also: super-slow-'mo   Antonym: Quick Draw McGraw.

Polyfidelity: n. 1. Faithfulness to multiple sexual partners.*

Fundagelical: n.  1. A fundamentalist evangelical Christian.**  2. The enemy.

A GAY (SUBURBAN, WHITE, RICH) SPACE FOR ALL OF US!

I just read this amazing article on Salon and don't know quite what to think.  While I am all in favor of creating gay-friendly spaces, be it in the back alley or in your church, this suburb concerns me.  As the article indicates, people are already judging the entire gay community by the success of this new gay haven.  The stereotypical elements are there but will this be a great place for gay couples to raise their chidren?  How about queers of color?  How about the poor?  Is this  truly a gay mecca or just a physical manifestation of the marginalization of those who are not white and rich from the community of gays?

For a great postmodern look at gay spaces I recommend the book Logic of the Lure.  It almost made me want to go to a bath house.  Almost.

QUEER VOCABULARY*

1. HETERODOX

Traditional: adj. Not in agreement with accepted beliefs, especially in church doctrine or dogma.

Queer: n.  A supposed heterosexual who flirts with gays so much that s/he becomes a paradox.  Usage: "Dave is flirting with me again.  What a heterodox!"

2. QUERY

Traditional: n. A question; an inquiry.

Queer: n. A detailed investigation about someone's sexuality.  Usage: "Is he gay?  We need Sam to do a query."

*Unlike many of my previous entries, these are actual words which, in a queer context, have a slightly different meaning.

THIS WEEK'S QUEER WORDS*

PomoHomo:  A homosexual that loves to read Foucault's History of Sexuality sequence or anything by Judith Butler.  The pomohomo may reject such labels as "homosexual," "gay," or "postmodern." Do not let that fool you -- a rejection of such labels is a clear sign that the homo is a pomo.  See also pomosexual.

Musclinni: A skinny gay boy that wears muscle shirts becuase he just started working out.  The musclinni is  between the categories of "twink" and "Chelsea boy." 

*Used in actual conversations this week.  Your assignment:  Use these words at least three times and you will own them.
