Noble Lie

A picture named TP-040323 2.jpg David Brock discusses the Rev. Moon's editorial policy at the Washington Times:

According to an investigator for a congressional committee that examined Moon's operations, Moon preaches a doctrine he called Heavenly Deception. Religious recruits are told that "the non-Moon world is evil. It must be lied to so it can help Moon take over. Then it can become good under Moon's control." (The Republican Noise Machine, 179)

[Photo from Moon's coronation ceremony on Capitol Hill.]

Postscript: Speaking of Moon's coronation, Monday's Salon has a write-up. If you haven't read about it, I urge you to do so. It doesn't get much more bizarre than this.
