Cassandra Predicts The Truth Is Out Back
McCain To Endorse Kerry
Look for John McCain to endorse John Kerry in mid to late October.
McCain will announce that he intends to remain a Republican, but that his "love of country" out weighs his loyalty to his party and that he has been forced, sadly, to the conclusion that a second term by George Bush would cause terrible, even irreversible problems for the country.

Cassandra Predicts Forced By The Press of Events To tell the Truth
Heidelberg Scarred, Wrap-up
As noted, the Heidelberg Appeal (plunkit) is frequently used to counter the theory of global warming and the dangers of greenhouse gases. It is also described as a direct refutation of the Kyoto Accords.
In truth, it is none of these things.
It is very possible that Michel Salomon (plunkit) , the author of the Appeal, intended for it to address global warming, but if so, he should have said as much in the body of the petition. You can't retroactively apply an unspoken intent to a petition after it has been signed.
The most frequent distorter of the Appeal is S. Fred Singer (plunkit) who has mischaracterized it repeatedly in testimony, papers and op-ed articles (plunkit) , (plunkit), (plunkit).
Singer is founder and head of something he calls the Science & Environmental Policy Project: (SEPP) (plunkit) which appears to exist to disseminate papers and articles to counter the positions of mainstream environmental scientists.
We have been unable to find any list of signers of the Heidelberg appeal that goes beyond the first 100 names. In that SEPP is one of the most frequent citers of the Appeal, We contacted them and asked for a more complete list of signatories. Their full reply was: "Sorry. Cannot help."
The supporters of President Bush are now pointing to the Heidelberg Appeal to counter the recent broadside by the Union of Concerned Scientists (plunkit) . In other words, the administration is defending itself against charges of using pseudo-science by using pseudo-facts.
