A Rumor Against War

Racicot Fesses Up

Marc Racicot, Chairman of Bush-Cheney 04 (a division of Halliburton) had some egg on his face because of two rumors currently circulating about John Kerry.

One has Kerry a hypocrite because he went to Vietnam despite the fact that he was already opposed to the war.

The other rumor claims that Kerry was never opposed to war and used the anti-war movement cynically to springboard his career.

An embarrassed Racicot owned up to the error. "These things happen when you just start up a campaign. We had scheduled the "not-really-anti-war" rumor for the first week in March.   The "against-the-war-too-early" rumor wasn't due out ‘til May, but someone on the staff couldn't make out my handwriting.

"I really have to enter the 21st Century and start using the computer," the easy going Racicot laughed at himself.
