Our Beloved Avon Cracker Server, Rest in Pieces
I served thee well
Until I fell.
Dearly Beloved,
We are gathered together to celebrate the life of "Cracky."
Cracky was the most famous cracker server in the whole wide world. In fact, he still is, at least according to google! Click here to see a screenshot of a google search for "cracker server." Cracky's story is number one out of over five hundred thousand!
Cracky was probably the best cracker server I ever had. He was with me in both the good times and bad times of my life. No matter where he was or what condition he was in, if he heard I needed to organize some saltines, he came running to help and try to do his very best in order to comfort me.
Cracky was wonderful and easy to get along with. Everyone he knew - Beauty Dish readers, 7, 10, 17, Ulak, the dog - loved him and praised his unique colors and cheerful spirit.
Cracky was delivered in December of 2004, and got his education throughout Southern California. He died suddenly in transit to the Pacific Northwest.
Cracky leaves behind his mother, Birdie of Beauty Dish, and his fiancee, Sally, as well as the fine people at Avon HQ.
Cracky, we will always love you.
And because Cracky was such a fun-loving sort, I know he'd like me to end this memorial service with a joke:
A mother and her young son returned from the grocery store and began putting away the groceries. The boy opened the box of animal crackers and spread them all over the table.
"What are you doing?" his mother asked.
"The box says not to eat them if the seal is broken" the boy explained. "I'm looking for the seal."
Thank you for attending. The potluck will be held at the Moose Lodge (heh heh inside joke for a specific reader)!
Cracky's Memorial Potluck!
Birdie enjoys some marshmallows! She is wearing pajamas courtesy of reader Carroll. Look closely! They are lucky lottery casino pajamas!!! Just for meeting strange card sharks! On her lap is the fabulous Star Trek Marshmallow dispensers sent to her by reader J.K.! They take the big marshmallows, but all we had were small ones. Sorry, Cracky!!
Please sign our community guest book by leaving some tasteful thoughts in comments.
And fiancee, Sally, has generously allowed Beauty Dish readers to make suggestions on how Cracky's legacy can go on! Please give a suggestion on what to do with Cracky's remains.
