Thank You, Everyone
A lot has happened in the past few weeks. My son, 18, became an adult, ran a marathon with me, and just left this morning for college orientation. My daughter, 20, moved into her very first own apartment in the town in which she attends university. My other daughter, the one I gave up for adoption so many years ago, arrived last week to spend summer vacation with me. I had a run-in with the elementary school principal, which turned into a wonderful internet crazy discussion on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, all in time for July 4. Plus a buncha other way cool stuff, but all that will have to wait for the moment.
I want to give some special thanks this morning. The Star Trek story sent so many kind and loving emails my way, I want to thank every single person who commented or emailed me in person. Since the comments aren't accepting new thoughts, you can leave a comment for me here, after this entry, if you like. I am answering each one with a personal letter, just give me some time to get through them.
I also want to thank Anne Dowling and the wonderful folks at Pocket Books who sent a big box of Star Trek books to my son, 8, along with a sweet personal letter signed by the publisher, editor, and publicist, thanking him for his dedication to Star Trek.
And special thanks to another friend who sent 8 some cool Star Trek items, but this is a super secret Thank You. You know who you are!
And special thanks to Mark Yturralde, who sent 8 (and my whole family) passes to attend the Comic Con in San Diego. 8 is so excited! I am too!!
And one more special thanks, to Didi of MiPO, for giving me space and time to complete the recordings/editing for the first amazing broadcast of mIPOradio, which will occur... soon!
