New Age Now.com and my books

Though this blog is linked to www.arhat.org, as you can see, www.newagenow.com is my official astrology website, where you can go to find out much more detail about what’s going on in the larger astrological picture. Arhat.org was inspired by the many friends and clients over the years who are like family to me, an "org" dedicated to making the world a better place. I have been a practicing professional astrologer and metaphysical speaker for over 30 years, with 3 published books and numerous articles. My first book, "Astrology and the Spiritual Path," came out in 1979 and is now out of print. "A New Look At Mercury Retrograde," published in 1997 but out of stock at present, should be available again fairly soon. My most recent book, "Love Dad: Healing the Grief of Losing A Child," is available everywhere. Though not astrological or metaphysical, this grief manual addresses the needs of bereaved parents coping with the challenge of rebuilding their shattered lives. It will prove helpful for anyone grieving a loss, or trying to understand how to help those who are dealing with the death of a loved one.
I started New Age Now about 5 years ago with the intention of providing useful information about the celestial patterns so that everyone can play the trends to their best advantage. The NewAgeNow.com library also has numerous articles of interest to clarify what’s been going on, and how we can position ourselves to our best advantage, given the larger trends going on. It is a work in progress, and dedicated to opening up progressive views to further the best world we can create. Please visit the site, and let me know what you might want to read about. It’s a wide-open universe out there, and since we are Eternal Beings having human experiences, there are many things to discover and discuss!

Reflections
Since I’ve posted several articles on astrology that could be useful, but didn’t really introduce much about myself in the process, let me take today to offer you something other than pure information.
My take on things is somewhat different than most. Ever since I was a kid, I noticed there were patterns and cycles going on. I crashed around in life until I started concentrating on what was going on, hoping to anticipate what was coming and when. I figured that if I could understand what was happening, and why, maybe I could do something about it and life more effectively. Society sure wasn’t talking, either through the schools and churches I attended, or the adults in my community in coastal Florida. College wasn’t much use either, though I did learn things that had nothing to do with the classes I attended.
I became convinced that none of us can rely on the world, or even our closest friends and advisors, to answer our deepest unfulfilled needs and questions. This sent me on my journey into metaphysics, trying to find points of contact between inner and outer space, inner and outer nature. I found that it seems we are individually and together an interconnected universe of One Light-Life force. And that through checking out the forms and symbols confronting us as we move through the fogs and disappointments, we can learn to master ourselves to whatever degree while not letting the sludge get us down. And the sludge factor is definitely increasing by the day, with many global and local concerns not being addressed. This creates situations where we’re not sure how to make our best play. My own experience is that if you just find the right point of view almost anything is possible, regardless of how fantastic it seems.
