Well, folks, I'll post this now for you early risers in Europe and the east coast of the U.S. I'm taking the weekend off to assemble some material for The Outer Edge, since there is major duality going on. The articles below may explain why some things are so on the edge at present....

Astrology at Work and Play

The Mars effect – May 2004

by Robert Wilkinson

I realize this is late in the month, but Mars is activating things in many lives, bringing hassles as well as new initiatives, flashpoints and separations as well as renewals, decisions, and a time of shifting gears.

Mars was in Gemini early in the month, after which it entered Cancer and made the choices of June 2003 more real as a lifestyle. Mars has been conjunct Saturn for almost the whole of the month while in trine to Uranus, showing us how to actively blend the old and the new while protecting what we need to. This has accented the trine void to Scorpio, so eliminate, purify, act decisively, and consolidate what you need to in order to protect your new way, new responsibilities, new duties, or new authority.... Astrology Hot Zones - Why people are alienated at present

By Robert Wilkinson

A client called me up yesterday, complaining about misunderstandings that had cost her some people she thought were friends. What she described sounded exactly like what I had posted on my blog, coupled with the Jupiter-Pluto effect I wrote about some time ago. So today, I’ll elaborate on the current "atmosphere" and some things to be mindful of.

People that are out of balance or who lack integrity are fracturing. Watch out for boundary violations, corrosive attitudes, and extremists in thought, word, or deed. Anything underhanded, dishonest, or out of control is blowing up for the next several months. This will squeeze out whatever has become obsolete in our lives. The sacrifices we make in the next few weeks will help us progress. It’s a very productive time if we don’t allow ourselves to be distracted.

If you’ve had to separate, don’t take it personally. See how the situation came to be, perhaps involving vanity, narcissism, or projecting old hurts onto present situations. It could also show as the "vain imaginings" of Ego-mind resisting a broader or greater way of life presenting itself. Be alert to the play of subconscious compulsions (in self or others) creating doubt, confusion, or deflecting you from your new vision, activity, or way of life. This is a time for practical visionary work, choosing which fork in the road you will take for a long time to come.
