Michael Moore, Fahrenheit 9/11, and Republican Obstruction of Free Speech

In another breathtaking bit of hypocrisy, Republicans are now trying to restrict Michael Moore from spending money promoting his new movie, "Fahrenheit 9/11." Repubs, usually so fervent on the right for Big Capital to make as much as possible looting everyday people by any means possible, now whine that his movie is political so he shouldn't be allowed to advertise his privately financed, privately owned creative product. Judiciary in Chaos - US Supreme Court Guts Power of Judges

The Supremes recently ruled that judges no longer have the power to adjust a punishment to fit a crime. Instead, a unanimous jury must decide changes in sentencing, and legal scholars are in widespread agreement that this throws the American judicial system into chaos. Read more...
