Astrology and Election 2004 - Full Moon Sagittarius John Kerry, Part 1
by Robert Wilkinson
John Kerry was born with a Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Gemini, and Ascendant in Sagittarius. This gives him a great sense of humor, certainly more than he's shown so far. Sagittarius are jokers, clowns, usually have a biting wit, and are one of the "luckiest" of all the signs. The Moon in Gemini helps him to be a multi-tasker and good juggler, but he can get too spread out trying to do too many things at once.
He has a very good mind, somewhat organized and too formal, but he is meticulous, disciplined, and his final insights mean more to him than his initial ones. He is most unhappy when trying to play a role he's already transcended, and he is not bound to the usual forms of logic, order, and discipline. He's definitely more progressive and an agent of dynamic, innovative change than most people suspect.
Sagittarius are questing, wandering magician-engineers to whom all of life is a grand series of experiments in truth. He is a life long student of learning for its own sake, and is willing to try new ideas, new approaches, and new ways of exploring any thing. Thus he is not exactly the "flip flopper" the Repubs are trying to make him out to be. If anything, he is inconsistent due to getting too spread out or distracted.
He was born at a Full Moon, which often brings intense oppositions in the life, as well as a very sharp quality of being able to mirror the feelings around him. His Moon is conjunct Saturn, showing that he gets pessimistic from time to time, but also that his self-knowledge is a source of incredible strength and resilience. No matter how difficult, he has the inner fortitude to come back from any fall and ultimately triumph over competitors and adversity.
He can get distracted by minutia that goes everywhere and nowhere, and will never really trust those in authority, since they often oppose his light and naturalness. He is absolutely honorable, usually gets what he wants, and will be a forerunner of the future helping others break free of obsolete security systems. He appreciates the value of sacrifice, is definitely following his own different drummers, is brilliant and high strung, and has a strong sense of nobility that is his true legacy to his world.
He feels first, decides second, and thinks last. This combo is great for making decisions based on a hunch that turns out to be correct. The weakness is his need to keep his vision up to date, as well as his information sources and ways of interpreting the data coming to him. With so much Air in the chart he can seem very cool, but he's actually a very passionate, fiery man with true generosity of spirit. If he can overcome his tendency to get pessimistic or distracted by bizarre people, he can do very well, as he is naturally intuitive.
One of his great strengths is his ability to verbalize what to others is a vague sense, and his ability to know the phases and stages required to get from any point in any process to any desired goal. He just needs to find a consistent role that he wants to play, and keep awakening people to the deeper and wider meaning of what's going on around them. For his vitality to accomplish his intention, he needs to be very clear about his needs versus his wants, not frame things so that to achieve one cherished thing he must give up another equally cherished thing, and keep his various life affairs compartmentalized to get the proper impersonal perspective that can help things work together rather than separately.
