2004 for Libra
by Robert Wilkinson
2004 is the end of a 12 year cycle of perceptions, ideas, health and work, with a new long wave cycle of magic beginning October, when simultaneous 2 and 12 year cycles start. This is a year to reap rewards, stay in the background, examine your motives and self-undoing behavior, and find routines that keep your life productive, healthy, and prosperous.
Close things out, mediatate, seek seclusion, stay below the radar screen of life as you find ways to use your enthusiasms in liberating ways. You can actually receive the blessings that most other people refer to as "luck" if you're just willing to review the "mythology" of your life, open to a wider point of view, and accept a different interpretation of what "luck" actually is.
Overall, this won't be a bad year, and actually holds a great promise this Autumn. You naturally know how to flow with the collective atmosphere, have gone through very productive and original life renovations, and have a deeper, more penetrating insight about hidden factors in communication and your environment.
Things have been really harmonized for you for several years, and your creativity should continue to be subtle, universal, and the expression of a collective ideal, despite some strange manifestations in 2003. Because of Uranus going into Pisces for the next 7 years, you're being led to deeper feelings around what others are sensing, even if they can't put it into specific terms. Let your genius work in some form of behind-the-scenes service to a social group, and you'll find yourself standing for what you believe in without your usual ambivalence.
You're still on a quest to find a new truth, a new way to learn or teach, a new vision, and a wider point of view. If possible, go back to school, learn a new skill or a new way to apply an old one. Just don't be so hesitant or insecure about the larger vision revealing itself to you. You will make a big decision about a new life direction later this year that will constitute a true change of attitude about what you do and do not need, and set the stage for professional power and recognition that are already on the way.
Saturn continues to block your vitality, and so avoid extremes this year while gathering whatever you need, even changing homes if you need to in order to open wider perspectives and greater learning possibilities. Continue to avoid legal or philosophical hassles, since this year you'll be even more sensitive than usual. Be autonomous, independent, direct and action-oriented, showing organization and maturity as you greet new responsibilities and obligations.
For September Libras, opportunity is all around! You just need to see a larger view, and don't overdo it. Show your usual moderation as you prepare for your new adventure to come this October. From January through May, take a look back at the important details you need to take care of before you move forward rapidly this summer.
Mars can create hassles, or the need for some form of right action without being hassled, in early January, May, late July-early August, and late September-early October. Saturn's drag on your line will begin to end in May. Finish up whatever you need to in September, and turn to the new 2 and 12 year cycles of opportunity that begin October. Just slow down and don't allow impulsive or hasty speech or actions to create needless accidents!
For October Libras, your 2 year cycle begins between mid-October and mid-November, so you also need to slow down, take it easy, and not allow the fast pace to create needless problems during those weeks. End whatever you need to in September and early October, since you'll have a lot on your plate after that, with the adventure you've been waiting for launched then. Overall, you can open doors to a greater future, and become a teacher, protector, or the embodiment of a collective ideal. Mars can create hassles, or the need for some form of right action without being hassled, in January and early February, late May through June, and late October-early November.
