Astrology and Election 2004 - Full Moon Sagittarius John Kerry Pt. 2

In Part 1, I described a few of John Kerry's personality traits, issues, strengths and weaknesses. In this article, I'll discuss some Progressions that are in effect for the next several months. Progressions are determined by the natal planets' movement, and are a symbolic means of measuring the evolution of the inner psychological factors of being.

Venus rules John Kerry's 10th house, representing the life sector of public recognition, authority, and honors. His natal Venus in Scorpio has now progressed into Capricorn, showing the ability to handle himself with with authority among powerful people in crucial situations. His public relationships will always be conducted at a high level of protocol, and he has developed a pragmatic bent that is actional and group oriented, with the current focus on releasing himself from old inhibitions. He needs to readjust the relationship between his spirit and real world conditions, and confront the parts of himself that need purification from obsolete rationalizations and methods.

His progressed Mars conjunct his natal Mars biquintiled by progressed Venus indicates he's in a "boomerang" situation in terms of asserting himself. He needs to cut his advisors' genius loose! If he does what's hard now, he'll spare himself a lot of grief at the back end. His focus has to involve forcefully invoking new vistas of concrete development that awaken his and others' pioneer spirit. The theme of the progressed Mars deals with "renewed and enlarged opportunities," the "joy and power of new beginnings," and being now separate from the past, he must rise to the occasion. The past is over for a whole lot of us, folks! Welcome to Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius.

His progressed Sun in Aquarius shows he's a ruler in his own right, a progressive being who is here to embody a better collective future. The symbol of the progressed Sun shifted in March from "a dove descends, bearing a message," to "a woman disappointed and disillusioned." Though he received a higher message between March 2003-04, at this point his progressed light is in a degree of needing to learn resilience and endurance through disappointing and difficult circumstances.

This is a degree of learning how to attain supremacy over circumstances, and the ability to take advantage of "misfortune" to gain spiritual justification. The more he responds to upsetting experiences with character and personal integrity the more his light will shine at present. If he presses on, he will acquire "increased powers with every setback."

His progressed Moon left Leo and went into Virgo June 26, changing his personality style and experience. Virgo is the sign of public service and public health. He has the power to connect with the country's public servants and laborers: firemen, police, doctors and nurses, public health workers and those in unions. He began to learn lessons regarding discernment, what has more or less value and the purpose of individual differences, and what characterizes situations.

The progressed Moon is moving very slowly at this time in his life, showing that regardless of the pace of outer affairs, he's experiencing the changes fairly slowly within himself. Presently at 2 Virgo, he's going through a time when he must stand unequivocally for what he believes in, and is going through a "liberating ordeal." From now through August 27, he must struggle to attain eminence, become more fully self-assured, and through individual self-realization he will dominate his environment. He must demonstrate he is a fearless steward of enduring values with true moral courage, and enlist Americans in "some dramatic service for the ultimate welfare of humankind" while not getting deflected by misleading or pretentious causes or dogmatism.

Between August 27 and September 27, his progressed Moon will show him how he has helpers he didn't even know about, and that there is assistance even when it seems that human efforts have failed. He will know and show an inner strength not evident before then, and will become more certain in his faith. His convictions will become his foundation, and he can realize strength from the power of his subconsciousness.

September 27 to October 28 he will have to overcome certain judgments, and be the embodiment of the ideal of fellowship that persists despite cultural distinctions. If he can rise above contrasts, he can see how each contributes to a greater whole of life. After October 28, his imagination will help him to envision the next step of work and imaging needed to anchor his dreams in reality. He'll realize new inner life energies, and his creativity will serve him in moving into his next phase of experience on the social-cultural level.

A problematic "joker in the deck" is shown by his progressed Mercury contraparallel Uranus in September, and quincunx his ruler Jupiter in October. Taken together, expect a revolutionary development, something out of the blue in September that will shock things radically. It usually indicates a communication or message that forces one to separate from an old "law" and embrace something totally new and different.

If he goes deep enough and doesn't get confused by the multiplicity of voices he hears, his efforts will bring him a more integrated vision and message. The quincunx always brings adjustments and sacrifices, and this one in his life will liberate him from old adverse conditions while promising abundance at the fruition of a natural process. It may also bring a health crisis, so he should take the subtle hints and do what he has to so the adjustment isn't too hard.

Ultimately, John Kerry is a questing, wandering Magician-Engineer on a long and winding road to the truth, here to live free and demonstrate a way to imagine something greater. His sense of vision and his sense of humor are his greatest strengths. His light is in showing us how to survive in the future, and how we are menaced by the symbolic and actual "refuse of men." Being Sagittaius, a double sign, he will always see multiple options, multiple futures, and several approaches to everything. He's not a simple man.

2003 taught him how to "put on the show." If he can demonstrate the limitlessness of his vision and a practical way of executing it, he will succeed in being his highest potential at this time in his life. 2005 shows enormous challenges, both early in the year as well as late Spring and early Summer. Summer 2005 will be a major fork in the road of his life.
