Astrology Hot Zones for September 2004 -- Pisces Full Moon, Sun-Mars Conjunction, and squares from Virgo to Sagittarius

The August 29 Full Moon summons us to renew ourselves as a crisis approaches. The next 4 weeks will finish up a training period that forced us to be good worker bees since last September. This month we will be pushed to achieve a form of "self-induced movement," offering us the potential of training to enter a higher level of function and accomplishment.

The Moon conjunct Uranus in Pisces, opposed to the Sun-Mars conjunction in Virgo, indicates some weird, innovative or unusual circumstances, with intrigues and covert willfulness as themes. Any Sun-Mars conjunction usually manifests as forthrightness, argumentativeness, and a tendency to try to push over stone walls with one‘s head. Expect the public dialogue to get VERY heated in the next few weeks. Though the power is up and impulsiveness is in the air, it’s probably better to be inventive, mysterious, intuitive and compassionate as you go your own unique way, ending whatever you need to so that a wider future can present itself without obstructions. Take little or nothing for granted, be innovative in your responses, and move through the oppositions toward the new life that's starting to surface.

The entire month continues a theme of late August, in that we must continue to find our inner values which life will most consistently reward, stop making alibis for inaction, and follow our emerging uniqueness. If you are concerned about an "emergency," whether in your personal, interpersonal, or transpersonal affairs, move directly toward that in whatever ways you feel you can be effective. There will be tensions and fracturing, but it's all clearing the way for something big coming starting the end of September.

The Mercury retrograde ends on September 2, launching the "rainbow after the storm" revealing our worth and offering a blessing resulting from the death of useless things. One theme will be "spiritual linkage through emotional stress," not necessarily a bad thing. Remember that the retrograde will show us what to expect between now and the end of November, so please investigate the above link, as well as Pt 2. and Pt. 3to get a sense of a bigger picture of affairs to come.

Many people’s feelings will be pretty unstable through the first half of September, culminating in a furious "storm" between September 9 through 16 as a result of the Sun conjunct Mars square Pluto. Find self-confidence in the middle of chaos, practice a self-discipline that can help you give form to a great realization, and get behind inhibitions while getting the cooperation you need for tasks others may not fully comprehend.

This square challenges everyone born in the second weeks of March, June, September, and December. The challenge is to be compassionate, alert, curious, communicative, a good juggler and multi-tasker, find root wisdom, avoid waste while assimilating diverse things, and you should receive what you’ve been waiting for. Though we’re done with the Jupiter square Pluto, residual volatility will occur September 6,13-14, and 20-21.

Avoid dishonest, obsessive, or coercive people and weird schemes during the second week of September. Right now it’s still very intense, and we’re preparing for the big changes in all our realities indicated by the massive conjunction at the end of Virgo and beginning of Libra in late September.
