Astrology at Work and Play - Element Balance for September 2004

This month the elemental mix is very skewed, with several important changes. The first week of the month continues the pattern of the last week of August, fairly balanced except for the continued deficiency of Air (mental-associative). We haven't been in an intellectual or associative time, but all that changes in the last week of September.

The second and third weeks of September show a balance of fire and water (the emotional elements) with an increase of Earth (practical-material). This shows an emphasis on earthy affairs, with a bit of a tendency to worry needlessly or fuss over details.

The first ten days of the month have Mercury in Leo and the Sun in Virgo, continuing the sense of role reversal, with our power and light working to bring our higher genius to the surface through work and health improvement, and our minds opening to unusual inspirations, or memories of what had to end so that our emotional stress could lead to a spiritual linkage through the death of useless things.

Since Air is deficient, be as open to learning and communicating as possible, and use the preponderance of Earth through September 22 to follow through on obligations and adjusting what you do or how you do it. These refinements will pay big dividends after the middle of the month.

Tremendous elemental change occurs at the end of September, when 4 planets leave the Earth sign Virgo and enter Libra, an Air sign. The work we've done will begin to yield results in our relationships and ideals. Get your practical work routines working efficiently, and remember that the areas of your chart influenced by Gemini, Virgo, or Mercury will be changing frequently, due to Mercury moving rapidly out of Leo, through Virgo, and then entering Libra. It will join the Sun, Mars, and Jupiter, promising huge shifts in the areas of our lives ruled by Aries, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces. As you can see, all of us are about to experience huge changes in at least half of our life affairs for some time to come.
