Astrology and Election 2004 - Full Moon Sagittarius John Kerry Pt. 3
by Robert Wilkinson
In Part 1, I described a few of John Kerry's personality traits, issues, strengths and weaknesses. In Part 2, I discussed his progressions in the near future. In that article, I offered an in-depth look at his pragmatism, the relationship between his spirit and real world conditions, and why it's imperative that he let go of obsolete rationalizations and methods. I noted that "If he does what's hard now, he'll spare himself a lot of grief at the back end. His focus has to involve forcefully invoking new vistas of concrete development that awaken his and others' pioneer spirit.... he's a ruler in his own right, a progressive being who is here to embody a better collective future."
He now "will know and show an inner strength not evident before then, and will become more certain in his faith. His convictions will become his foundation, and he can realize strength from the power of his subconsciousness." The stretch from September 27 to October 28 he will have to "be the embodiment of the ideal of fellowship that persists despite cultural distinctions," and the next 8 weeks a revolutionary development will force him toward something new or different.
Now, in part 3, we will discuss some important transits to come in the next few weeks. Virgo-Libra is a time of preparation, truth seeking, education, and very high recognition in John Kerry's chart. Pluto on his Sun shows a transformational force has come to his light, as well as coercive beings forcing him to be efficient in purifying his power and purpose. Neptune trine his Moon conjunction Mars in Gemini offers clear intuition, along with critical forks in the road in his relationships due to the biseptile with his Venus in Scorpio.
Uranus brings favor through women due to the trine to Venus, but is in a critical "Finger of God" Yod configuration with his Neptune and Trans-Pluto. This double "expansion through sacrifice" will squeeze out everything not able to be focused. and with the sextile to his Mercury, he should be methodically brilliant if he can just get organized. With Saturn only in a semi-square to his Mars, he can't just do a slow burn on things, but must target the need of the moment, and open multiple new points of view. Since Saturn has entered his 8th house, he is beginning to see himself as a custodian of more timeless values, and a responsible, caring person. It no doubt has similarities to the mid-seventies for him.
His ruler Jupiter shifts signs September 24, going from Virgo to Libra. We will experience two distinct features of John Kerry in the next eight weeks. September he'll be more specific, analytical, critical, and practical. October he'll be theoretical, gracious, balanced, refined, charming, and poised. The down side is its square to his Mercury, which challenges him from late September through the election to get the understanding he needs from others, and not get distracted by side issues and irrelevant controversies. He will win others to his conception of things by seeing things through their eyes.
Mars shows our hassle points, or points of aggravation/activation. In JFK's chart, Mars in Virgo has not been easy. It afflicted his Uranus mid-August, afflicted his Mars in late August, afflicts his natal Full Moon and Sun the first two weeks of September, and afflicts his Saturn through September 20, after which this T-square intensity should begin to subside. Still, it's a great time to get mobilized, and trust his intuition while paying attention to subtle hints and deceptive thinking in his environment. The second week of September is crucial, and procrastination is a disaster at this time.
Mars in Libra should be good for John Kerry, except for the square to his Mercury the first 8 days of October, when he should slow down, avoid impulsive speech or actions, and not get too sharp. As Grant Lewi put it, "...mountains of trouble out of molehills of speech." He should try to take it easy, imagine a new beginning, embody a more perfect and universal ideal, and give up the old to create a new emotional life.
Venus in Leo in September will help him tremendously among women of power. Venus conjunct his Jupiter late September and early October should give him a blessing or protection of some sort. Venus in Virgo will afflict his Uranus on October 8-9, and relate somehow to the hassles of mid-August. It squares his Mars the second week of October, again cautioning him not to get deflected or distracted, and make sure he's using the right means to get to his desired ends. Venus square his Moon the third week of October shows he must rouse others to make them aware of an emergency, and assert his deeper subtle side. He must not allow himself to be underestimated, or be taken as inconsequential. He'll feel deeply but probably not very happily the fourth week of October when Venus squares his Saturn, when he must re-work what he expects of others, his rules of relating to others, and find his true mission.
