Astrology Hot Zones in November 2004 - The Lunar Eclipse for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces
by Robert Wilkinson
I was asked by a reader to comment on the recent lunar eclipse and how it might affect the different signs. As with Solar Eclipses, Lunar eclipses also function to shut down the light, so to speak. The number of hours a lunar eclipse lasts is said to have an influence equivalent to the same number of months, i.e., this eclipse lasted 1 hr. 21 minutes, so its influence should last one and one-third months. It's a Total Eclipse whose shadow covered western North America, Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Oh joy!
This eclipse fell on October 27 at 6 Taurus-Scorpio. Any Full Moon begins the fulfillment of the promise of the preceding New Moon, in this case the Solar Eclipse of October 13. So the promise of the New Moon at 22 Libra will be fulfilled by the 6 Scorpio-Taurus opposition axis. The Jones' Patterns are all over the place, a modified Locomotive or Bucket to Saturn at the New, a Splay with See Saw tendencies at the Full. The Moon is on a degree of bridge building and cooperating to overcome obstacles that are a natural part of evolution, while the Sun is at a degree of avidity and tearing oneself away from the known and familiar. So the light of a new passion will find form in cooperative activity. For everyone, there will be a form of conflict that will require us to nourish ourselves on past virtue or wisdom so that we can resist inferior energies that may intrude on our lives. This Full Moon will show us something about inspiration given form by trust. Either our past inspirations will yield results through the trust we've had, or our trust will show us a new form of inspiration.
This Full Moon occurred with a Venus sextile Saturn and a Mars sextile Pluto, both very productive aspects. And of course, the big news is that the lunation fell near the Great Quintile Five Pointed Star, offering unique gifts to us all over at least the next 5 weeks. The most problematic aspects at the Full Moon were the Moon quincunx Jupiter and Sun semisquare Pluto, neither one very powerful, but strong enough to be noticed as things adjust and break down to their constituent parts while excluding all that is not cooperating for the good of the whole.
For early Aries, don't fight, and let go of whatever you need to in order to secure what you need. Sacrifice to regenerate. For other Aries, take a new look at how you are with others and see if you can't make a new beginning in deeper ways. Simplify, enjoy, and get the various parts of your life working together.
For early Taurus, be sensitive to your feelings, get your perceptions working together, and see how you need your partner is or is not grounding your light. For other Tauruses, close things out, capture an accurate reflection of yours' and others' motives, and get clear about a new job or a health need requiring elimination or regeneration.
For early Gemini, get a new job or new way of expressing yourself or having fun. Organize, do your duty, and do things differently. If you have children, they're on the threshold of a new beginning. For other Geminis, your creativity is up, and the focus is on friends or ambitions. Get some new ones.
For early Cancer, the light is on your past or home, but your success is in going public or professional. For other Cancers, this eclipse will bring some solidity and movement while Saturn continues to sit on your Sun. Let go, eliminate things from the past, and enjoy the company you have.
For early Leo, you may as well detach, see the big picture, and be as friendly as possible. For other Leos, you're on the verge of a new point of view or way of communicating. A sibling is in big change. Focus on the future and cooperative efforts to solidify the basics of what you're seeing.
For early Virgo, you'll see an easy way to make progress, or come to a solid understanding about the forces that have opposed you this past year. Organize, eliminate, go in a new direction. For other Virgos, just enjoy the new rhythms, new ideas, and stop being so agitated. You're learning something about discipline.
For early Libra, take a new look at a new way of valuing things or making money. You're squeezing out everything not in line with your new adventure. For other Libras, let go of old feelings, and realize what you're feeling may have more to do with your partner than you. Teach them cooperation and how to enjoy things.
For early Scorpio, you should be seeing clearly either how you're not quite in synch, or the easy way to recognition and accomplishment. For other Scorpios, it should be a very productive time, if somewhat out of balance. Simplify, clear out old motives by letting go in silence, and get a new sense of service.
For early Sagittarius, you need to finish up some things before you try to play. Enjoy yourselves, but realize that you need to cut back on something or your health will suffer. For other Sagittarians, Pluto is still putting you under pressure, so let go of corosive friends and find a new way to express yourself.
For early Capricorns, you'll find a new sensitivity and a new way of life unfolding, so let go of the lesser and allow the greater to be nourished. For other Capricorns, stop feeling so oppressed by others, and get a new way of caring for others where you can be their equals, and not dominating them or being dominated by them.
For early Aquarius, it's time to let your light shine! Be noble, caring, creative, playful and lovings. For other Aquarians, let go of a potential future that isn't going anywhere, and focus more on your immediate environment and those close to you. You should find a lot of enjoyment there, and through simple communications.
For early Pisces, it will be nice to find some stability in the middle of your revolution! Take care of details, and don't worry needlessly. For other Pisceans, your understanding is up, your agitation is up, and the focus is on your possessions or wealth, so enjoy and accumulate. Your revolution is yet to come.
