Astrology Hot Zones in January 2005 for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces
by Robert Wilkinson
This month brings the challenge for push forward any new projects you've been waiting to do. The preponderance of Fire (Inspiration) gives way to the more practical, organized Earth sign of Capricorn. After January 9, both Mercury and Venus enter Capricorn, bringing even more of a sense of grounding, discipline, and ordered initiative. It shows that the areas of our charts ruled by Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, and Libra are now moving from a Sagittarius influence to a Capricorn. So we'll all be feeling a shift in about half of our reality.
Along with these shifts, we'll also experience dynamic emergences of the next stage of the life changes that began with the grand compression of planets in Virgo and Libra in late September-early October as the planets in early Capricorn "lower square" what began then. That will lead quickly to the multiple hot zones of the cardinal T-square made by the Capricorn squares to Jupiter in Libra just preceeding the oppositions to Saturn in Cancer. This will challenge everyone with planets in the last half of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. It'll be great for self-sufficient, direct movement into pioneering intiatives, if only because something's got to give, and this is the time when it can and will, to the degree you demonstrate the virtues of the cardinal signs.
There are many, and besides those I've mentioned already cardinal virtues are nurtuance, balance, proper adjustment to new rhythms of activity, a sense of perspective, fairness, self control, self confidence, self-starting, renewing, protecting, aspiring, and being their true selves, The problem with T-squares are that they do challenge "right action" while integrating the power inherent in tensions forcing realization. This can create some pretty intense situations where things can spin out of control, i.e., former patterns, pretty quickly. The square will be active the entire month, so expect a lot of change, quick transitions, and rapidly developing new activity which may bring challenges to understand and communicate clear boundaries and limitations without sharpness. Avoid impulsiveness but respond quickly to demands for your unique talents. Don't get bogged down with people who clutch, feel sorry for themself, manipulate, rationalize, or are rude.
The square is active due to the Sun's transit from Jan 1-17, 2005, with the hot zone January 7-10. The opposition influence begins then, becoming hitting crirical mass January 13-16. Mercury picks up the square to Jupiter beginning January 18, with Venus joining the square the next day. Hot zone for these is January 22-29, due to Moon square Mars conjunct Pluto at the back end, always a volatile combo. The specific degrees affected by the Sun transit are 18 and 24 Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, and Libra. Specific degrees affected by Mercury and Venus are 19, 23, and 24 of the same signs. This directly and urgently affects those with birthdays around January 5-15, April 4-15, July 6-17, and October 7-18.
I'll give you more about how these square affect people born in different years tomorrow, and some specific antidotes to the challenges and significance of the specific degrees in part 3.
