Astrology Weird Zones for January-February-March-April 2005 for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces
by Robert Wilkinson
While talking with a friend on the phone this morning, he commented that he had never been in a time that seemed so weird. Nothing seems to make any sense, and the sense of unreality and uncertainty as to what to do has never been so strong. I reminded him that I've noticed in the news that many are comparing this period with the 1930's, and that the similarities can be found in the angular relationship between Neptune and Pluto, resulting in what I've termed "The Grand Irrationality." This relationship, the septile, often indicates irrational, or obsessive-compulsive tendencies in the people and situations in which this aspect is active. It is associated with critical forks in the road in one's life, and is termed a "destiny-producing" aspect. It is destiny-producing in that it challenges us to choose between different roads, or pathways, that will affect our character and therefore our destiny. It is said that as we make our character we make our destiny.
This time, involving the outermost transpersonal collective transformative energies, is throwing us all a certain urgency of choice, and even not to choose will have drastic repercussions down our road of development. This septile is part of a larger patterns involving points in Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. The latter signs are occupied by Pluto and Neptune respectively, setting the foundation of the larger pattern triggered by the transit of the other planets over the hot zone spans in each of these signs.
In this article I wrote a while ago about the Grand Irrationality, I outlined which birthdays and birth years are most affected by this on-going long-wave pattern. Any of you with planets in any of the degree hot zones are being directly impacted by forces seemingly beyond your control at work on those planetary rulers of certain houses in your charts. The houses are the areas of life activities, and their planetary rulers being impacted will show you where in your life these weird experiences and crucial choices are working out, or not. You have tremendous power to shape your future right now, but are probably feeling weirder than usual about the whole experience. So are we all.
In January and February 2005 the larger pattern set last year by Jupiter's station configuring with Neptune and Pluto will be activated at key points. Over the next few weeks, the Moon will trigger the Grand Irrationality on January 4, 8, 11, 15 (in Europe), 19, 23, 27, and 31. It just gets more and more heated up from there, since the configuration will be activated January 20-27 by Mars, and from January 29-February 3 by the Sun. February 4-7 Mercury enters the pattern, and February 10-13 Venus is in the hot zone. As you can see, between the cardinal T-squares and the septiles kicking in, January should be a pretty wild ride.
Even though Saturn only retrogrades back to 21 Cancer and is therefore technically outside of the hot zone established in 2004, it will still be triseptile Pluto throughout February and March 2005, thus stretching the septile configuration hot zone a little further out than we've been experiencing. So you can bet that as we get further into the next few months, it's only going to get weirder and weirder. I do believe we will see instant karma made manifest to a greater degree, since our choices will create non-rational effects when these areas of our lives are involved. Again, it's all about choices that are shaping our future character, and therefore our destiny.
March intensifies the experience due to the Saturn-Pluto coupled with the points in early Aries activated by Mercury from March 5-9 and Venus with the Sun in the same span from March 22-27. This will have major implications when Mercury retrogrades over this span from March 31 through April 23, Expect lots of curious returns, with important decisions made the second week of April which will show definitively which way the wind is blowing for each of us, and all of us. You can also see what the current pattern of Mercury retrograde periods are showing us by going to this link, where you can find other links on how the recent retrograde affected your sign specifically.
April 2-9 has Mars in the hot zone in Aquarius, so at that time we will have Pluto in Sag, Mars-Neptune in Aquarius, Mercury retrograde in Aries, and Saturn in Cancer. That will leave the Taurus, Virgo, and Libra-Scorpio points as the only ones not directly activated by a transitting planet. Early April will be a roller-coaster for us all. I'll post more about this configuration in a few weeks.
