Aquarian Astrology in January-February-March 2005 - Marc Edmund Jones and the Jones Patterns Pt. 2

In today's article we will explore the different patterns at work in the upcoming several weeks, that we might understand what is required of us and how best to play the energetics of the situations in which we find ourselves.

As I described in Pt. 1 of this article, the "Jones Patterns" were formulated some time ago by the venerable Dr. Marc Edmund Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, the Sabian Assembly, and about a thousand revolutionary concepts in astrology and symbology. The Jones Patterns are 7 basic ways the planets can configure, regardless of whether a planet is in a specific sign or house. They show the 7 basic styles of how we relate to the world as well as how the world is relating to matter, situations, and each other at any given moment.

We've all been challenged to learn how to express effectively the "Bucket" pattern energies for several months. This pattern will continue through mid-April 2005. This month the pattern will be most accented the first half of the month, when the Moon transits the majority of the planets. The Moon will shift the pattern briefly into a "Splay" and then "Seesaw" between January 16-22, and then acutely focus the "Bucket" when it conjuncts Saturn on January 23-24. It moves back into the "Seesaw" from January 24-27, after which it returns to the "Bucket" through February 12. Then it forms the Splay and Seesaw from February 13-18, and again focuses the Saturn "nozzle" of the Bucket February 19-20. After that, the patterns shifts to the "Locomotive" pattern with a "Seesaw" influence through February 24, and then the Moon disappears back into the Bucket through March 12.

Again, please reference the link in part 1 that explains the meaning of the Bucket, how it works, and specifics about its influence in our lives. It is the primary configuration for some time to come. The only major modifications to that information concern the symbolic meaning of the Jupiter and Uranus degrees in our experience. Jupiter's degrees show we learned to focus on returning to certain values, face facts, and approach experience with an eye to consequences from January 1-8. Since then we have begun a movement to rebalance rights, duties, and privileges through February 24, which will lead us to repudiate some form of bondage as the year develops. Expect parts of your new life to challenge what has been customary up to now. After February 24, we again are dealing with consequences and learning to face facts through March 8.

Uranus is how we end or close experience at present. Through January 24, keep finding ways to master discouragement, and demonstrate fairness in "the marketplace." Find people to exchange information with who you can understand and they you, and embrace new self-development. From January 25 through February 11, see what tasks you're consecrated to do, and which collective values you really care about. It is a challenge to perceive high goals, and dedicate yourself to some group effort outside yourself, which of course will involve forms of self-testing. You got prepped for this April and August of 2004. In between, you learned to concentrate amidst the outer chaos, accept certain of life's limits, and got a clear realization. You'll get another period like this, or the resolution of whatever went into upheaval last Spring-Summer, from February 12-28, after which we enter into an area of Pisces unknown to Uranus for over 80 years.

Saturn is the handle, or nozzle, of the Bucket. Pt. 1 explains what this means. Saturn is retrograde, which indicates we're all being led to value sacrifice, trust that we're completing lessons we already pretty much know, and are practicing teaching from our experience rather than our knowledge. The degree points indicate that in early January we must accept a "mantle of power" through some self-discovery associated with a "restoration of strength." This is a direct result of what we set into motion September 2004, and will bear fruit May-June 2005.

January 12-24 echos late august-early September 2004, reinforcing the sense of being "lost in life," but also accenting the fulfillment possible through personality integration techniques. This will complete in late May 2005. January 25-February 6 is an echo of late August 2004, and emphasizes fellowship and an exchange of ideas as a basis for determining collective activity. It images what might be. This will be set as a long-term pattern in our lives by mid-May 2005. February 7-23 is an echo of mid-August 2004, and opens the dream state promising a new adventure if the desire is of the heart and has been sustained properly these past 6 months. The adventure will begin in mid-April 2005, if you've been clear about what ambitions are true for you, and have accepted the discipline or responsibility associated with that ambition.
