Astrology Yod Configurations in January 2005 - Saturn Returns to a Finger of God - Moon, Mars and Jupiter join in
by Robert Wilkinson
As I mentioned in this article we are dealing with several important configurations that affect the big picture for us all, including some Yod formations, also known as "The Finger of God." This article will expand on the Yod energies that are in our faces at present. If you came looking for something about the Saturn Return (as a result of the title), you can find it at this link.
The information about Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in the first article link is very important. Jupiter is no longer square to Pluto, though the crises spoken of in that article have shown us gifts and productivity since then. The septile configuration is still extremely strong, due to where other planets fall. More on the Grand Irrationality at the end of this article. What is of major importance and specific focus for the new few weeks is the Saturn-Pluto Yod, or "Finger of God," that is reactivated at present. Here's a link to an article that explains this Yod as it began.
An aside: Jupiter is no longer sextile Saturn, but is now sextile Pluto, offering a void around 19-24 Taurus that is activated in a Yod configuration. This especially affects those born the second and third weeks of May. Also those born 1939-41, late '52-early '53, June '64 through March '65, summer '70 through spring '71, summer '76, Dec '76-March '77, and May-June '88. All these have either Uranus, Saturn, or Jupiter as the focus of a double "expansion through sacrifice" in January, showing a lot of social or professional adjustments, upheavals, and forced acceptance of limitations and/or responsibilities. People born during these times will see major changes between now and the final squeeze play August-September 2005.
Back to the extremely important Saturn-Pluto quincunx, setting up 2/3 of the Yod during the whole month of January. The Finger of God is focused by the Moon sextile Pluto at 24 Aquarius on January 12, and again by the Moon in Taurus sextile Saturn January 18 (19 in Europe). The Moon in Aquarius makes Saturn the nozzle of the Yod, thus accenting its importance this month connected to the cardinal T-square. The Taurus Moon throws the focus of the Yod to Pluto, more subtle but also devastating in its long-term effects. Lots of stuff happenin', folks, so adjust as easily as possible and let go of obsolete or corrosive habits, both obvious and subtle.
The Pluto leg of the quincunx was triggered by Mercury and Venus in late Sagittarius in early January, and will be heated up again by Mars in late January. These Sagittarius transits quincunx Saturn, opening the voids at 24 Aquarius and Taurus for productive adjustments. This of course affects wherever it falls in your chart. Jupiter in Libra has some influence in this configuration, since it rules the Sagittarius planets, but that is outside the scope of this article.
There is also another Yod formed when the Moon double quincunxes Mars sextile Jupiter on January 17-18. This Finger of God throws the double expansion through multiple sacrifices into 17-19 Taurus. These multiple adjustments will compel us to sacrifice whatever cannot come into the new life that is presenting itself in a powerful way due to the integrative strength of the T-square operating at present. The sacrifices are also preparing us to do our thing in conjunction with others as we hit more critical forks in our road of "destiny" when Saturn forms the triseptile with Pluto and biseptile with Neptune, again triggering The Grand Irrationality. This kicks off in a big way in February-March-April 2005, so please visit this link to see how best to deal with "The Grand Irrationality" which affects the entire world at present.
