Jupiter in Libra - 2005 for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

Jupiter entered Libra in late September 2004, part of the Grand Compression of planets that set new cycles into motion for all of us for the next two years. This series of conjunctions (fusion, renewal) fell at 30 Virgo, 1 and 3 degrees of Libra. Besides the end of Virgo/beginning of Libra being a radical transition zone between hemispheres, 1 Libra is a critical degree (It's the beginning of a quadrant AND a lunar mansion - both major zones of shifting emphases!). The symbol for 1 Libra is associated with the transformations associated with the Autumn Equinox, and the keynote of the first half of Libra is Transfiguration. Thus we have been and are being transfigured through circumstances and evolutionary necessity. There's a revolution going on, quiet for now, perhaps even preoccupied with finding the ideal look, but a revolution nontheless. What follows us a deeper look at what's up for all signs in the months to come, and a brief forecast for each.

Here's an earlier article where I outlined some of what we can expect from Jupiter in Libra. To flesh out some concepts introduced then, from Jan 1- 9, 2005, Jupiter is at 18 Libra, where recklessness is brought to account and facing facts with an eye to consequences is paramount. It became a hot zone for months to come due to the Sun square from 18 Capricorn. This zone will also be very active Feb 25-Mar 9, and again August 23-29. Jupiter goes stationary retrograde at 19 Libra on February 1 at 6:26 pm pst, an important degree of gathering together to protest unfairness and injustice. Jupiter on this degree promises that for a long time people will be forming groups to counter what is presently out of balance. Expect to meet some interesting idealists through which the status quo (Saturn) will be challenged by the expanding Libra force, reorganizing, rearranging, leveling, mediating, and focusing on the ideal rather than the past.

It is a degree of "Repudiation of bondage," "Challenge to custom," and "Protest against the perpetuation of unearned social privileges." Sounds like a social movement to me. It stays on this point through February 25, when we go through two weeks of re-examining the ideal in light of facts and consequences. Jupiter then keeps retrograding back to 9 Libra, going stationary direct June 5 at 0:21 am pst. Its retrograde span will re-track its November-December 2004 period, so expect some interesting election returns. Also picked up will be news stories put on the back shelf during this time. Moving forward in June, it completes the "third time's the charm" lessons of the 9-19 degree span through September 3, 2005. It then moves through the last third of Libra, entering Scorpio October 25.

The span of Libra Jupiter moves through three times in the next 7 months will offer opportunities to learn, grow, and expand in all social interactions, especially those related to global ideals, group work, synthesis and synergy among individualized units efforting toward collective ideals, and all other associations with Aquarius. Everything will serve the ideal of 19 Libra. In March we move through facing facts and seeing consequences into retiring from old dramas while transforming past experience into ideas. The last two weeks of March do needed repair work, be joyous, and see how old destructive forces yielded constructive results. This period will echo the last three weeks of December 2004.

March 26-April 11 teaches us how to find peace as we go through repetitive tasks, and overcome boredom by seeing how to effortlessly participate in the larger order of things. We will then adjust to a new rhythm, see the order in things, and must discard unhelpful dependencies as we learn how to rest and relax. April 12-29 we re-learn, or get a new understanding of, the need for imagination and surveying what we need for a more effective social participation. From there we either go deeper into knowledge, or come up out of the depths into the light. We first saw April's retrograde span the last half of November through the first two weeks of December 2004. We'll be finishing up these lessons between July 13-August 11, 2005.

More instruction is on the way late April and early May, and we need to see things in human terms, being gladly willing to assist, protect, and cooperate. This will complete during the first half of July 2005. May-June 2005 will mostly bring a sense of relief, and of having made it through the rapids. Skill and circumstances combine to make our "destiny" more secure, and many will receive rewards for their sincerity or boldness in their labors accomplished the first half of 2005. Jupiter's stationary degree will mark a platform from which integrations will proceed. Many parts of individual lives and groups will begin to be more cohesive and efficient. We will see the value of discernment, far-sighted judiciousness, and sharpening of perception. After June, Jupiter's quickening forward movement will bring a tide of new activity for us all through October, by which time these Libra parts of our lives will have been activated and launched into concrete forms.

A brief view of how the Jupiter in Libra will affect each sign:

Aries - New relationships, ideals, work, opportunities, responsibility, and visibility. What is your place of best service? Let go of the past, maintain initiative, be more expressive, get a discipline and a plan, and avoid excess.

Taurus - Get a balanced health and work regimen. Maintain your reasonableness in the workplace, and be the peacemaker if something gets out of control. Play more, balance goals and desires.Growth in understanding higher and deeper things.

Gemini - Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Examine any hesitancy in making new friends, and try to see the bigger picture where your ten thousand pieces all have a place. Last year's beginnings smooth out or create instability. Be socially graceful.

Cancer - New beginnings and relationships to past and present bring relief from a sense of oppression or worldly-weariness. How can you better serve the greater need? Open up, be bold, take the initiative, and use your skills wisely.

Leo - New ideas and information stream in from sources near and far, opening wider perspectives and a more ideal view. Be more balanced in your generosity, as well as your sense of "to whom much is given much is expected."

Virgo - Recent new beginnings now show you what you need, what you have, and how to be more balanced in your approach to relationships and public involvement. Be fair toward yourself, and see ways to attract more resources.

Libra - It's a roller-coaster adventure for you! Take time to catch your breath, open to the opportunities that are all around you, and if you must travel or learn something, a whole new world will open up very soon. Intuition is high.

Scorpio - Try to be reasonable as you close out old financial attitudes and ways of expressing yourself. Accept your long-term payoffs as fair. Be gracious with children, and more refined in how you play. Your adventure begins November 2005.

Sagittarius - You could make some long-term friendships this year if you can be moderate and elegant in social situations. Your life is leveling out amidst the disruptions and extremes, so join the new rhythm. Harmony in the home important.

Capricorn - You'll be very visible so avoid excess, extremes, hasty actions, or oversensitivity. It will seem like others have the power. Allow yourself to be led to your deeper wisdom without getting defensive. Be classy and mature.

Aquarius - After a time of karmic losses, this opens the door to great future possibilities. Travel, teaching, spiritual explorations all very favored. Be reasonable with friends and money. Find ways to diversify your natural expression and play.

Pisces - Things will even out, once you stop over-judging things and just decide. Find a new social ideal. You are being shown a form of fulfillment you could accomplish in three years or less. A time of rhythmic regeneration.
