2005 for Scorpio

Through the first half of 2005, you're completing two of the more productive years you've had lately, having learned that playing it conservatively offered you deep insights, protection, and opened wider views you never suspected before and new ways to play and express yourself. You're in a year of reaping rewards as well as karmic kickbacks for any loss of balance or equilibrium.

You're redefining truth, morality, and broadening your understanding and philosophical direction, all of this preparing you to assume a greater authority or recognition beginning August 2005. This high visibility period will begin for October Scorpios this year, while November Scorpios are still preparing for this greater power and influence. As with last year, continue to avoid legal hassles. Protection will be found in your willingness to set aside your desires and intensity and play fair, be even-handed, and gracious in granting blessings at the end of a long cycle for you regarding money, resources, and children.

For early November Scorpios, Neptune still squares your Sun, and will for some time. There are some peculiar conditions going on in your home environment, so try not to get too weirded out by your domestic situation, which may be unclear in some way. Beware of over-idealism, or extremism connected to resources or values. Eliminate all power struggles with children about money. Be gentle, generous, flexible, detached, and geniunely friendly.

Uranus, ruling your home sector, is well into Pisces, offering you more creativity and play. You can more easily express your genius or uniqueness now. Just avoid explosiveness and eccentricity with family members, and allow them maximum independence if you want to get them to listen to you.

The disruptions of 1996-2003 are finally over, and you're seeing how to express your unique talents and qualities in more natural forms of self-expression. Trust your new ways of being in the world and connecting with life's pleasures, and keep renovating your base of operations so that old stagnant accumulations are removed. Change your thinking about your childhood, and if you're suffering over memories, try to remember that everyone in the world is wounded. And it helps to have compassion for others to forget your own problems.

As with last year, lighten up and don't obsess about vague things. Continue to detach, try to become sweeter and more pleasant to be with and talk to, and cultivate nobility, heart strength, and playfulness. Stop patterns of resistance that create friction with the atmosphere around you, and show your loving, optimistic face, be more enjoyable and enjoying of life, and simplify.

October Scorpios have a huge adventure coming later in the year that requires that you get over tendencies to argue or be oppositional. Your testing begins in August, accelerates in September, and challenges you through February 2006. You will definitely find that during this time others seem to have the power, but you have a major opportunity if you know how to greet what presents itself in the right spirit.

Get over any abrasiveness, contentiousness, or need to stay stuck in intense or non-productive feelings, and get ready for the time of your life beginning late October. Opportunity will be all around you for several months starting then, and so go for it. Any opportunity to travel or study should be quickly accepted. Just avoid excessiveness, extravagance, and waste.

From August forward, October Scorpios should let go of oppressive duties and restrictions. Take on no responsibilites you can't live with over the long run. You may need to let go of lesser obligations and responsibilities and accept greater ones to overcome any boredom or restriction you're feeling. Your thinking will become more creative and inspired, so avoid excessive pride and inflexibility in how you express yourself and interpret what you're perceiving.

2005 will bring you more fiery, inspired friends than those of past years, due to Mercury retrograding in the Fire signs this year. (Mercury rules your friendship sector.) You attracted Air sign friends in 2001-02 and Earth sign friends in 2003-04, so enjoy the stimulation that the Fire signs bring you this year! You'll find they're not spacy, tenative, or as controlling, manipulative, or pragmatic as those of the last few years. They'll be more active, alive, changeable, and warm. You will also hear from old friends, or make new ones that may resemble old ones in some curious way, in late March-early April, late July-early August, and late November-early December 2005.

For mid-November Scorpios, you're finishing the 2002-mid 2004 lessons of learning to possess as though you possess nothing, and seeing that you are the custodian of a legacy that is not yours, but belongs to another who will outlive you. Change your thinking and interpretation about what you want and how you believe you should get it. Since Autumn 2004 all Scorpios have been learning to incorporate others' information into their worldview with greater sensitivity to others' feelings, and beginning August 2005 need to get over fear and remove barriers to expanding their heart power.

In 2004, October and early November Scorpios opened to a higher view, a greater vision, or a more mature philosophy. Learning not to overassert your authority or knowledge, you had opportunities to achieve fluidity in expressing your genius in sensitive and caring ways. You began a quest to find a new truth, a new way to learn or teach, and a more responsible attitude. It was a great time to go back to school, learn a new skill or a new way to apply an old one. Finish your learning plan, and for the first half of the year, don't be hesitant or insecure about the larger life that confronts you.

For this group, Jupiter's entry into Scorpio late October through December will bring important new opportunities. The challenge will be to find an adequate form of self-dramatization, keep the momentum under your control, and find your place of greatest service to your world. Avoid excess, and keep it sweet, gentle, and simple.

Mars started your last 2 year cycle between November 10-December 5 2004. There is a reality check in late March-early April. Make adjustments however necessary, and keep it pleasant, playful, creative, noble, and loving. Mars entering Taurus in late July will offer a chance at mid-course adjustment in early August, preparing to follow through on that particular form of activity beginning December 2005 or January 2006.

For October Scorpios, Mars can create hassles, or the need for some form of right action without being hassled, in late January-early February, from March 20 to April 4, July 28-August 16, and mid-November through early January 2006. These periods challenge you to be friendly, detached, see the big picture, and not get frustrated by the pace, bogged down in stubborn oppositions, or too fractured in your affairs. Because Saturn is in early Leo, there may be a feeling in the last half of 2005 as though there is a brake on your wheels. Don't struggle, or you're guaranteed to lose more than you gain, especially August through October.

For most November Scorpios, your 2 year cycle began December 2004, opening up a whole new world of activity. Much of what was going on during December symbolized a promise or process that will show as opportunities, visions, or adventures beginning January 2006. You're reaping rewards throughout 2005, and closing a 12 year cycle of your sense of an expanding universe. This 2 year cycle will offer a correction point in April. Make changes then so that when Mars enters Taurus in late July it won't create needless hassles between late August and mid-November.

November Scorpios need to slow down, take it easy, and not allow the fast pace to create needless problems during those weeks. In April and beginning again in August, your ruler Mars can create hassles, or the need for some form of right action without being hassled. Avoid needless oppositions, quarrels, impulsiveness, or abrasiveness. Also avoid people who are argumentative, stubborn, or too sharp for anyone's good. Be pleasant as you give ground graciously.
