Astrology at Work in March-April 2005 Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces affected

by Robert Wilkinson

The coming weeks continue the challenges, realizations, and transformations for all signs shown by dynamic aspects to Pluto in Sagittarius, Uranus in Pisces, Saturn in Cancer and Jupiter in Libra. There are squares or oppositions to planets in cardinal (activating) signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) and mutable (distributive) signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) involving the planetary rulers of the fixed (stabilizing) signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius).

Pluto continues to put long range pressure people with birthdays in mid-March, mid-June, mid-September, and mid-December. If you have a birthday during these periods, go to the core of your being and regenerate your heart. Be a pioneer, show self-control, concentrate, and throw off the chains in your mind that keep you powerless. Let go of obsessive-compulsive feelings and people, and purify however you need to, becoming the "captain of your own fate." Banish the corrupt, corrosive, or dishonest elements in your life, and regenerate the seeds of power in the houses it influences in your charts. Pluto's long-range influence is presently most personally disruptive to those with a Sun, Ascendant, or planet between 20 and 30 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

In March, Pluto's powerful transformative energies are released in new emergent activity which will lead to harmony and feeling more alive in April. Remember that January brought the seeds of rewards and blessings in the houses ruled by Aries, Scorpio, and Sagittarius, setting up future rewards and blessings to arrive in May-June 2005 and November-December 2005. In March it hits its station at 25 Sagittarius, a threshold degree of anticipation sprouting seeds of growth that will become very strong by Summer 2006.

Neptune continues to make life somewhat strange, unclear, or even very weird for people with birthdays in early February, early May, early August, and early November. If you have a birthday during these times, let go of self pity or feelings of inadequacy, and be resolved to do whatever needs to be done to come out of uncertainty, doubt, and confusion. Get clear about your role, release drifting through things that don't interest you, and find the light of your highest ideal. Neptune's long-range influence is presently most confusing to those with a Sun, Ascendant, or planet between 14 and 20 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio.

January brought evolutionary accelerations, shortcuts to penetrating insights, and greater faith. February brought management issues back to the forefront requiring intuitive foresight to organize enterprise budding since April-May-June 2004. Given that the coming weeks show no frictional aspects to Neptune, things won't feel as unclear as they did in January-February. Build your intuition and find your subtle but absolute protective mechanisms, especially from harsh social judgments and social traps. Adjust to emerging conditions, protect some things while unveiling others, and prepare for some dramatic events to come that will affect the whole world in March 2006. What you learn at this time serves the need of January-February 2006 in the houses ruled by Sagittarius, Aquarius, and Pisces.

Uranus is evoking revolutionary developments or needed renovations and creative renewing in the houses in our charts ruled by Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Its influence is associated with disruptive and/or unexpected changes that challenge us to individuate. Uranus currently affects most strongly those with birthdays in late February and early March, late May and early June, late August and early September, and late November and early December. If you have a birthday during these periods, learn cooperation, flexibility, and try to innovate and synthesize things into a newer, broader view. Uranus' long-range influence is presently most disruptive to those with a Sun, Ascendant, or planet between 6 and 12 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

In January Uranus helped us to master discouragement, demonstrate fairness, and find unique ways to bring old things to completion. February furthered our dedication to a group ideal, showed us how to stand up for an ideal we believe in, and assert our truth. Jan-Feb was the next step in what began between late April and July 2004. March will summon us to a form of rebirth, and many will hear "the call." Late March and early April challenge us to quicken the pace and dismiss every superfluous consideration in doing what we must do to finish the race and attain our goals. Drop excess baggage quickly, and prepare to take on higher responsibilities in April. April awakens our ability to "fly by the seat of our pants," demonstrating some form of mastery resulting from our dedication to an ideal, our willingness to persevere, and our hustle.

During the first 10 days of March, Mars re-activates the Saturn T-square. I've already treated this influence extensively in three articles then. In part one, I covered important points of focus to antidote the energies and the birthdays most challenged by these squares. In part 2, I covered which degree spans are most active, and the signs most directly affected by this intense cardinal activity. March's T-square is especially hot for 18 and 21 degrees of the Cardinal signs. I also listed which birth years are most heavily influenced in terms of purification, transformation, upheaval, renovation, and restructuring, in terms of Pluto, Uranus, and Saturn position. In part 3, I offered specific ways to respond productively and what to watch out for. I covered the meaning of the degrees as well as the aspects, and offered some insights into dharma that may assist you in understanding what’s calling you.

This is important since April's Aries planets take this Cardinal T-square to the next level of manifestation. However, unlike the January T-square activated by Mars in March throwing the void into Aries, in April the Aries transits will oppose Jupiter and square Saturn, throwing the energies back into Capricorn. So how we respond in March determines how challenging April's new beginnings will be.
